Dunwoody, GA (July 7, 2020) – Hospitals and health systems that leverage Vyne Medical’s flagship Trace® platform now have a new service added to the Trace suite of products that enables the indexing and integration of voice data into Epic’s electronic health record (EHR). Vyne Medical today announced that Trace Voice Indexing and Integration tools are available in Epic’s App Orchard, where third-party apps are listed for review and selection by existing Epic customers.
Trace provides tools to capture virtually any type of communication including phone calls, in-person conversations, voicemails, emails, faxes, images, and documents. Now, through integration with Epic, Trace users can easily select and share these communication events with users across their enterprise.
Benefits of leveraging the new Trace Voice Indexing and Integration via the App Orchard include:
- Automatic incorporation of voice data to specific patients in Trace
- Automatic pausing of audio recordings when sensitive information, such as credit card or social security numbers, is being collected
- Two-way HL7 integrations to help eliminate manual data entry and streamline existing workflow processes
- Management tools through the Trace Quality Assurance™ module to monitor and mentor teams in communication best practices
“Placing Trace voice tools in the App Orchard represents an important step in facilitating a more seamless integration with Epic and helping clients leverage key functions of our solutions,” said Ben Manning, Vice President of Product Management at Vyne Medical.
Clients who leverage Trace typically experience workflow improvements that result in more efficient scheduling, authorization, coordination, and reimbursement of care. The impact is observed in enhanced financial performance, patient experience, physician/staff alignment, and quality.
