Patient Access Week

NAHAM’s annual Access Week is a long-standing, annual tradition to raise awareness and celebrate Patient Access contributions. Established in 1982, Patient Access Week is a celebration of the people in Patient Access profession. The date marks the anniversary of the founding of the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM), the only national professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence within the field. Each year, the celebrations span the entire week surrounding the anniversary on April 5th.

We are taking this week to show our appreciation to all the Patient Access professionals who work to create great experiences for hospital patients.

We know this past year has brought on tremendous challenges, and we applaud and appreciate all you’ve done to navigate the hurdles and emerge stronger. We are so grateful for all you do and we want you to know we’re here to support you. At Vyne Medical, we strive to lighten your load, support your workflow and deliver efficiencies borne of automation and digitization.

This past year we saw a shift towards remote work for some key hospital employees across the country. Sending employees home to work can be a daunting task for hospitals with patient information and HIPAA laws to consider. Moffitt Cancer Center can attest that a Patient Access work-from-home program can be a safe and seamless transition for the team thanks, in part, to the flexibility of the Trace® platform and applications that empower digital document exchanges, integration tools, quality assurance solutions, and voice recording functionality. You can read Moffitt’s story here.

Regardless of your location, sometimes it’s just the everyday challenges that can make work frustrating. The Patient Access unit at Mercy Medical Center was struggling with piles of paperwork and patient complaints. Trace helped create paperless workflows and process efficiencies that helped Mercy’s Patient Access team transform into a robust call center. Watch this webinar to learn more about Mercy’s experience.

As you know, Patient Access teams often do much more than just provide service to the patient. Oftentimes teams are also responsible for upfront collections. Trace gave the Patient Access department at Health First a boost in efforts to enhance their financial collections. Find the full story here.

These are three of many examples that demonstrate our commitment to helping Patient Access professionals across the country. Your teams and the critical work you do is always on the forefront of our minds.

We hope this week kicks off a wonderful and rewarding year ahead!
