Vyne CEO Lindy Benton Named to 2019 Class of Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT

Benton recognized by Health Data Management for 4th consecutive year

May 8, 2019 – ATLANTA – For the fourth year, Lindy Benton, CEO and President of Vyne®, has been named among the most powerful women in healthcare information technology. The awards program, sponsored by Health Data Management, recognizes top women in healthcare IT leadership positions across the country.

The three award categories include CIO/healthcare IT executives, HIT thought leaders and HIT vendor executives. Awards recognize individuals who are driving change in the healthcare industry, particularly in meeting new competitive or reimbursement challenges.

“It is a great honor to be named among these women who are driving technology and innovation in healthcare,” said Benton. “This program, and the accomplishments of those recognized, give great hope for the future of HIT and of the role women are playing in its advancement.”

The 2019 class of honorees includes 50 women being recognized for efforts to overcome organizational and technology barriers, deploy leading-edge technology, shape IT regulation/policy and implement healthcare technology that dramatically increases patient safety and health organization efficiency.

Benton’s 30-year career in health information technology includes leadership roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Cerner Corporation and The Sage Group. She is currently CEO and President of Vyne, a provider of healthcare communications, electronic attachment and health information exchange solutions to the health system, dental practice and payer markets.

Recently listed one of 2019’s revenue cycle companies to know by Becker’s Hospital Review, Vyne is now leveraging its solutions and expertise in integration to help providers replace paper faxing with alternatives that facilitate compliant, automated information exchange.

Benton is a past chapter president and fellow with the Health Information and Management Systems Society and serves on executive councils for several health-related committees and industry associations.
