HIMSS Revenue Cycle Summit: Establishing a Virtual Revenue Cycle

One of the latest trends in healthcare is the creation of a virtual workforce, particularly in the finance departments.  Hospitals and health systems that already have work-from-home programs are seeing positive results including increased productivity and employee satisfaction as a result of moving to a remote environment.

The Cleveland Clinic is using remote staff for areas such as pre-registration, scheduling, financial counseling and customer service. Heidi Peris, PreAccess Director at Cleveland Clinic, is speaking at the upcoming Revenue Cycle Solutions Summit in Las Vegas on the Cleveland Clinic’s virtual program. She will discuss the program they’ve established, lessons learned, and the outcomes.

During her session, March 5th from 11:15-11:35 am at the Wynn Las Vegas, Heidi will cover the following:

  • The Cleveland Clinic’s approach, and how they’ve increased employee flexibility and mobility
  • Challenges and benefits of providing a remote option for revenue cycle employees
  • Set-up, management, and the workflow used to secure data access and exchange in a virtual environment

If this seems like something your health system could benefit from, register for the Revenue Cycle Solutions Summit, and check out Heidi’s session.
