Becker's Hospital Review Names Vyne Medical CEO Lindy Benton to 2022 Women Power Players in Health IT List
Health Data Management magazine previously named Benton to four consecutive “Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT” lists.
July 6, 2022, Atlanta, GA – Vyne Medical®, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare management software, announced today that president and CEO Lindy Benton has been named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2022 Women Power Players in Health IT.
The Becker’s Hospital Review “Women Power Players in Health IT” list includes dozens of respected female executives and decision-makers in health IT – both pioneers and rising stars – who are dedicated to advancing health IT and access to care.
“This distinction is much-deserved, as Lindy is truly passionate about driving health IT adoption, integration, and innovation. This vision is demonstrated in Vyne Medical’s tagline, ‘Connecting Disconnected Data®’,” said Scott Overholt, chief development officer at Vyne Medical. “Through her leadership, Vyne Medical has helped change the way IT health information is shared – namely through such cutting-edge platforms like Trace and Refyne. Lindy is truly deserving of this award and we are appreciative to those who once again nominated her for this honor.”
Benton’s 30-year career in health IT includes leadership roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Cerner, and The Sage Group. Since 2011, Benton has been CEO of Vyne Medical, a recognized market leader in facilitating secure health information exchange and electronic healthcare communication management. Benton’s work focuses on integrating systems to enable auditable exchange of patient information among healthcare providers in a secure environment.
Under Benton’s guidance, Vyne Medical launched two new centralized healthcare-specific platforms, Trace® and Refyne™, designed to capture, automate, manage, and exchange interactions with patients, payers, and providers. Today, Vyne Medical is focused on designing and delivering solutions that transform manual, paper-driven processes into automated workflows that reduce errors, omissions, and patient care risks often resulting from paper-based exchanges.
To that end, Vyne Medical recently launched auto-indexing functionality that leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to automatically map text data to the patient record. This new technology helps eliminate manual data entry and provides digital options to automatically share patient information between systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Benton’s past honors include being named (four consecutive times) one of the most powerful women in healthcare IT by Health Data Management magazine, and she has been recognized as a female executive making significant contributions to health IT advancements – while supporting the growth of diversity and professional development in the technology industry.
